YOUR ROLE
As the Order Management Specialist, your objective is to coordinate any orders requiring unique business routing requirements for carrier selection and pick up dates. These actions are to ensure they are processed in an efficient and accurate manner and that delivery deadlines are met, and routing guide penalties are not incurred. This position works closely with the Account Manager, Customer and other internal team members and will leverage our WMS, SAP and customer routing portals. This position is responsible for communicating any issues impacting the timely and accurate tendering of shipments and performing any re-routing as appropriate to resolve the issue.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Major Responsibilities
Work as a team member, handle large quantities of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy, multi-tasking, respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with a strong degree of urgency, prioritize and perform work with limited supervision.
Capture data from IM-First and SAP to route orders on retailer portals accurately and within SLA
Provide support for orders with special handling, which includes providing shipment dimensions, booking appointments, routing/compliance requirements and export
Alter orders in SAP to meet retailer routing guide requirements
Works with carriers via email, phone and portals to schedule pick-up appointments within defined ship windows
Ensure compliance to Retailer Routing Guides
Effectively communicates to the client and account teams any order challenges including back orders, routing assignment failures and missed carrier pick-ups
Evaluates transactional processes and recommends and implements improvements to processes that will improve the customer experience, internal processes, and SLAs
Maintenance of Standard Operation Instructions (SOPs) and training of backup associates
Support new customer or process implementations (white glove/hyper care expectations).
Support Quality Assurance reviews with the LTL team and Security to ensure all proper checks and signoffs are adhered prior to carrier tender.
Assist in the management and retrieval of shipping document (i.e., BOL’s)
Assist in the investigation of post LTL shipment concerns, Routing Guide violations and questions
Join customer calls as required or requested for critical project coordination such as NPI’s/Product
Maintains records associated with routing transaction, prepares related reports as needed
Handles customer inquiries and resolves orders issues with the clients and account teams.

High School or other equivalent degree.
Excellent working knowledge of Windows based software.
Ability to interface with numerous web-based customer portals
Experience or ability to learn SAP applications
Solid understanding of e-commerce and supply chain.
Outstanding written and oral communication/presentation skills.
High energy and self-starter.
Well-organized, detail oriented with excellent follow through.
Problem solver, ability to analyze situations and make decisions
Ability to multi-task and set your own priorities to achieve success.

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and crouch for 8+ hours a day.

This position will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
This position will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
This position may be required to climb ladders
