Account Executive

 

Description:

JPA Health is currently searching for an Account Executive to join our collaborative and team-oriented Public Health Practice. The ideal candidate for the position will have PR agency or comparable experience supporting health communication projects, a strong work ethic, be a dependable team member, and be able to work well with a large, interdisciplinary team.

The successful candidate for this role is a detail-oriented, organized, and flexible communicator with interest working on health and social marketing campaigns for federal health agencies.

This position is a hybrid role reporting to any of the JPA Health offices twice a week.

The Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day account work and projects across JPA’s Public Health portfolio, which may include supporting traditional and social media efforts (pitching, developing media lists, media monitoring, content calendars), strategy and planning, and development of client content, such as contributed articles, marketing materials, press releases, media pitches and digital/social content

Support the implementation of integrated PR, marketing and advocacy programs and campaigns, thought leadership, data communications, policy programs, educational campaigns, events and other initiatives

Produce high-quality written content and demonstrate proficiency in various types of communications writing

Lead the team on pre-determined aspects of client campaigns, including working collaboratively across in-house creative, media, web, and research teams

Act as a liaison between client, outside vendors and, as appropriate, other internal and external audiences (i.e., media, advocates, medical experts, other interest groups)

Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and coordination.

About You

Our ideal candidate must have:

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of communications experience.

Proven experience in media relations, PR, and creative materials development

Health communications experience (nonprofits, medical societies, patient advocacy experience a plus)

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility and professional manner

Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and as a team

Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

Understanding of the changing healthcare environment
