Academic Partnership Manager

Description:

think-cell was founded in 2002 as a start-up. Today, the name think-cell stands for the highest standard of graphics software worldwide. With the investor Cinven at our side, we want to continue to grow strategically.

One strategic priority is our academic program, in which we bring think-cell to the next generation of leading professionals. This means we provide students and teaching staff with free access so that they can already benefit from think-cell during their time at school – find out more here.

As an Academic Partnership Manager at think-cell you will be responsible for driving the academic program in North America (US/ Canada). We have big plans to grow the program 10x with the next years – and you can be an integral part of it.

Your Tasks

  • Grow current partner accounts: We already have an established network of >50 leading academic institutions in the US incl. elite schools like Harvard, Yale, and Berkeley. Your job is to nurture those universities, talk to professors, deans and students and promote think-cell to increase awareness and software penetration across the campus.
  • Establish new partnership: You will do outreach, help prospects and users how to use think-cell via trainings and ensure smooth usage of think-cell. This also includes outreach, negotiations and closing of deals with associations and resellers.
  • Be responsible end-to-end: The program is in the early stage, which means you can actively shape the program from the top of funnel marketing ideas and measures, via acquisition through to graduation.
  • Get your hands dirty: We are speedboat within think-cell which means we can shift priorities fast and everyone is doing what is needed to ensure the success of the program.
  • Work closely with leadership: You work directly with the Head of Academics on strategic and operational priorities to ensure program success.

Your Profile

  • 2-5+ years of sales and/ or (strategic) partnership experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with a data-driven entrepreneurial mindset. You see challenges not problems.
  • Willingness to work across time zones (start early in the day)
  • Attitude: You take your work, but not yourself too seriously
  • Fluency in English
  • Have or willing to develop a strong product understanding of think-cell – experience with think-cell as a user preferred
  • Bonus: Prior experience in academic sector (i.e., universities, publishers) and/or think-cell knowledge
